The January Turn

January seems to mark a turning point. We rush through the holidays, get by on the end of our cash flow, and stick it out in bad relationships just a liiiiiittle bit longer so we aren't 'alone.' Then come January, we decide to re-invent ourselves either in theory or practice. We're going to do everything better this year. We won't comprimise, over sacrifice, or over commit! We are told that a new year offers a new beginning.

I do applaud the encouragement to make positive changes for yourself. But I also believe in making drastic changes the moment you find yourself unhappy or standing on the wrong side of your personal fences. It's never too late to pick up and move or start over. Live, learn, and move forward.

This is your year. Make the most of it.
