Actress Mia Kirshner has been spending her time off-season making a difference by telling the stories of desolation. Over the course of 7 years, Mia travelled to worn-torn countries to interview the people, and create anthologies in Burma, Mexico, Melawi, and Ingushetia (former Soviet Union).
This beautifully haunting book holds stories she risked her life to share. On one ocassion in Burma, an officer pulled her over and accused the actress of interviewing child soldiers. Her translator had to step in and convince officials she was actually a missionary to keep her from being taken into custody.
The result, I Live Here, can be found at your local bookstore or online.
